FREE Chess Academy Tryouts Tomorrow at Main Campus from 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm
Students will learn the chess board, how to move the pieces, piece value, chess notation, opening theories, strategies, tactics, end-game technics and check matte patterns. In addition, the participants will have the opportunity to play with other players and receive feedback from coach. Chess, also known as the Sport of the Mind, is a game that captivates children of all ages. During our program, kids play chess with each other while receiving constructive feedback from a coach. The game is entertaining, challenging and fun...but it is more than a game. Studies have proven that chess develops the minds of these kids, enhances their academic performance, and improving their concentration, critical thinking and memory skills.
